Interfaith Community Service Day

 

Alhamdulillah, lega selesai presentation pagi Jumaat lepas untuk subjek Religious Worldview. Sekaligus mengakhiri ketiga-tiga subjek yang diajarkan oleh pensyarah yang sama. Untuk subjek Religious Worldview ini kami dikehendaki merancang sebuah program yang boleh melibatkan kerjasama antara pelbagai agama dan Islamic worldview hendaklah diletakkan sebagai asas. 

Pensyarah saya memberikan komen beliau selesai sahaja presentation kami. Sebenarnya, saya dan rakan-rakan sedang mengkaji program ini. ICSD yang kami berikan nama ini sebenarnya telah pun dipelopori di San Diego. Sedikit sebanyak ingin saya kongsikan di sini. 

Introduction

The Interfaith Community Services Day (ICSD) is organized by 3^rd Year students of Akidah and Religion Studies, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia through cooperation with Islamic Da'wah Fpundation Malaysia (YADIM), St. Thomas Cathedral, Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple, Malaysian Hindu Youth Council and Committee of Taman Mulia neighbourhood. ICSD is highlighting various useful activities under the cooperation of Akidah students with several religious organizations. ICSD is design for the different religions, whereas Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism are able to work together and gain their mutual understanding to occur. This programme will be held at Taman Mulia, Mantin on 29th June 2013. The location that we choose is based upon the population of different races and religions who lived over there. Based on its theme, A.L.I.V.E society which is standing for Awareness, Love, Inspire, Vision, Empathy society, it is an impetus towards unity through community service activities. 

Purpose of ICSD

The purpose of ICSD is to strengthen the relationship among different religions by using community service method to protect the environment of neighbourhood. 

Objectives of ICSD 

Interfaith Community Service Day to be implemented targetting the following objectives : 

i)  Implements comprehensive activities to build an A.L.I.V.E society. 

ii) The role of community service to ensure the clean and beautiful environment. 

iii) Build a good rapport among the neighbourhood of different belief and faith. 

iv) To gain the experience among the students to interact effectively with people of varying social educational, and technical backgrounds from different religions.
